AVL are one of the world’s largest independent companies for the development of powertrain systems with internal combustion engines. They turned to Varlowe’s expertise to fabricate and install 2 new cooling modules for their engine testing department. This is not the first time we have dealt with an engine testing unit, so we got into action and started work on the new units.
Starting from the bottom. Core components are placed and fitted onto the base of the test cell and a case is fabricated to cover. The core pipework is then fabricated and fitted to the unit. While this is being done, the shell has been powder coated and prepped for the final fitting to the module. Once the pipework is done, the units shell is added and fixed, then delivered to site for install. Installation is completed and the job was done on time and on budget.
